1: How did you experience the internship at Convident (in general)?

For 5 months, I got to learn a lot and I absolutely had a great time here. My internship period was full of a diversity of tasks, which for sure was a helpful and valuable work experience for me. I got a chance to polish off such skills as planning and multitasking, as well as my communication skills. It was nice to network with everyone and be a part of a team, and see that company appreciates its employees.

2. Were you well received by our colleagues (work atmosphere)?

The outgoing team is definitely one of the things I will miss! I got a chance to cooperate with several colleagues, and it was a productive and funny time! Every time I got questions, I was always got helped, and in case of some inconveniences, both in work and personal circumstances, I got supported and understood. Also, Convident organizes quarter outings, and I got to do laser gaming with a team-was a fun activity to do!

Special thanks to Rutger, who was the best supervisor I could have asked for! He was the one who was always there for me to support both my professional and personal development, and from whom I always felt appreciated for my addition to the company and ideas I had in mind for company’s work processes improvement.

3. Would you recommend future interns to intern at Convident?

Doing an internship at Convident can be a great first work experience, as here the setting is really welcoming. In case you do not know how to do that or another thing, everyone will be glad to help. Also, as for international students, it can be a good opportunity to practice your Dutch, as daily you get a chance to improve both in speaking, reading, and writing; and for Dutch-speaking people, the same would go for English, as it is also used often in company.

4. What grade would you give your internship at Convident and why?

I would give Convident an 8. I learned a lot of different skills, including ones that are not necessarily related to my position’s title. In most of my tasks, I had room for creativity and implementation of my own judgment, but still with good assistance. Besides that, it was nice to come to the office and be able to chat with my colleagues on different topics or grab a drink at the office’s terrace. Lastly, it gave me a great insight on how digital agencies usually work, and how it is to work in a small enterprise.

5. What will you take with you from Convident to the rest of your career?

It definitely will be a remarkable experience to remember, as it was my first full-time work experience, and I got to learn such work nuances as “it is never bad to ask more questions if you did not catch up with something straight away” etc. Besides, I became more confident in my talent and possibilities, and how important it is to stand up for yourself.

This internship helped me to understand that I want to keep pursuing my career in the same direction as the position I had at the company. Lastly, I got inspired by the background of the creation of a company, which makes me want to start my own business someday even more.
